Edattan sonra daima -ing

Bu, edatların en kesin kuralı: bir edat varsa arkasından gelen fiil -ing olur.

to bazen edattır — o zaman -ing gelir. Sınavların klasik tuzağı:

look forward to hearing · be used to waking · object to being · in addition to working

Ayırt etme yöntemi: to kelimesinden sonra bir isim konulup konulamadığıdır. “look forward to the weekend” [Doğru] → bu durumda bir edattır.
