Today, Ahmet wants to buy some new things for his house. He goes to a big shop in the city.

First, he looks for a lamp. He finds a nice one for his desk. Next, he needs a mug, a plate, and a glass for his kitchen. He also buys a fork, a spoon, and a knife.

“Excuse me,” Ahmet says to a shop assistant. Her name is Zara. “How much is this chair?”

“It’s forty pounds,” Zara answers.

“And what about that sofa?” Ahmet asks.

“The sofa is two hundred pounds. It’s on sale this week.”

Ahmet thinks about the price. Two hundred pounds is a lot of money, but he really likes the sofa. He decides to buy it.

He also buys a small clock, a mirror, and a pillow. At the end, he needs a bag for all his things.

“That’s ninety pounds for everything,” Zara says.

Ahmet pays and says, “Thank you very much. Have a good day!”

“You too!” says Zara. “See you again soon.”

Ahmet is happy. His new house looks better now, and shopping was good today.
