Mr. Peter Brown is a teacher. Today is his first morning at a new school. He walks into the room and sees twenty students.
“Good morning, everyone!” he says. “My name is Peter Brown. I am your new English teacher.”
A boy puts up his hand. “Good morning,” he says. “My name is Ali. Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too, Ali,” says Mr. Brown. “Where are you from?”
“I am from Turkey,” Ali answers. “This is my friend. Her name is Elif. She is from Turkey too.”
Mr. Brown smiles. “I know Turkey a little,” he says. “My wife is Turkish, and we live here now.”
A girl asks a question. “Are you busy after school, Mr. Brown?”
“No, I am not busy,” he answers. “You can ask me questions after class if you need help.”
The students are happy with their new teacher. He speaks slowly, and he always answers every question. At the end of the morning, Mr. Brown says, “Thank you, everyone. See you tomorrow!”
“See you tomorrow!” the students say together. It was a good first day for everyone.
